Mary LoGalbo is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst College of Nursing in 1994 and Masters of Science in Nursing from Rush University’s Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program in Chicago in 2014. She also is a Certified Asthma Educator through the National Asthma Education Certification Board.
Mary is a founding member of Apple-a-Day Pediatrics and has been an integral part of the group since 2005 acting as head nurse, clinical administrator, and triage coordinator. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Pediatric Nurse at Loyola Hospital for 9 years and cared for a diverse population of infants and children with both acute and chronic illnesses. Besides asthma and allergy, Mary has special interests in adolescent health and the challenging issues that may present in this age group.
With over 20 years of pediatric nursing experience and through raising four children of her own, Mary believes that the family unit plays an important role in fostering a child’s well-being from infancy through young adulthood. Her recipe for wellness is family education, partnership and mutual respect. Her hobbies are family time, gardening, and running.
